CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATES
CHURCH WILL GATHER ONLINE
The leadership of CDA Church has decided to temporarily suspend Sunday in-person church gatherings, starting from Sunday, 22 March 2020, in order to limit physical contact and prevent the transmission of COVID-19. This decision follows the recent executive order by Governor Tony Evers as well as advisories issued by the authorities (the Center for Disease Control).
The physical health and well-being of our congregation is our highest priority. At the same time, it is vital to stay connected and to keep building the church community. To ensure that our church family can remain planted in God’s House during this health crisis and still have a great church experience we will be live-streaming our Sunday services.
We would love for you to join us for online church services every Sunday so that we can keep worshipping God and receiving from the Word together, even if it looks a little different. You can tune in at cdaconnect.com/online or on our Facebook page.
1. WASH YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY
Wash your hands with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer regularly.
2. COVER A COUGH OR SNEEZE
Cover your cough or a sneeze with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow. Throw the tissue away immediately and wash your hands.
3. KEEP YOUR DISTANCE
Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms and maintain social distancing guidelines.
4. DON’T TOUCH
Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
5. SEE A DOCTOR
If you experience respiratory symptoms like a fever or cough, please stay home. Look after yourself and seek medical care immediately.
Let’s continue to pray God’s protection over our families and friends. Pray for those affected and for the medical world to find a cure.
If you feel sick, self isolate and call the Coronavirus Helpline: (833) 978-0649.
Pay attention to social media posts from CDA Church or our lead pastors and attend Church Online. Although we cannot gather in person, we still gather in the name of Jesus.
Ultimately, even as we pursue preventative measures and exercise wisdom in keeping ourselves and loved ones safe, our faith and security is in Jesus Christ. We pray His promise of protection over you and your family. Let’s also pray for those affected around the world, and that the virus will be quickly contained and conquered.
“Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.” Psalm 91:9-10
LET’S CONTINUE TO PLACE OUR ENTIRE TRUST IN GOD AND CLAIM HIS POWERFUL PROMISE OF PROTECTION FOUND IN PSALM 91.
